We are currently looking for applicants for a post-doc position in the lab. The position is funded by a grant under the NIH Human Microbiome Initiative. The goal of the project is to examine the association between foregut microbiome and gastroesophageal reflux disorder leading to esophageal adenocarcinoma. The ideal candidate will get experience in high throughput sequencing technology and computational and statistical analyses of changes in a microbiome in human diseases. She/he will also be offered to exercise a leadership role in project administration and coordination of efforts of collaborators from three participating institutions (NYU, JCVI, and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab). There are five physicians recruiting patients for this project. We would ideally like the new hire to start as soon as possible.
